The most common form of PTC sites are in form of ‘bux’. Simply put, their domain names end with ‘bux’

Examples are: Neobux, Probux, Zapbux.

Neobux is one of the oldest PTC sites, and most of the PTC sites that were developed after Neobux decided to retain the ‘bux’, to denote a brand name, and inspire confidence in users to sign up with them.

The danger with PTC sites are that there is a constant demand for them from users. These type of sites are easy to set up and there are people willing to sign up with them. While most PTC sites are initially legitimate ventures, they soon run out of capital to pay the users for their time and effort, and end up becoming scams.

Thousands of PTC sites are set up each year, but only a handful tend to make it past the 6 month mark. There are hundreds of thousands of people who have been scammed through these type of PTC sites. On the face value, the site would appear to be legitimate; you would be able to click on ads, accumulate money, but when the time comes for payment, these sites will flake out on it, leaving the user having spent hours of his time with nothing to show for it. Alternatively, they may just block your account and forfeit your earning due to some sort of ‘policy violation’.

This is the main reason why PTC sites have such a bad reputation in the online earning community. That and the horrible earning rates offered by these PTC sites. BUT, that is not how to make real money on PTC sites, as I will show you in the coming article.
